Dr. Shafik Sachedina Owner Of Sussex Health Care And The Organization;s Impact On People’s Lives
D.r. Shafik Sachedina was born in Dar-es-Salaam in 1950. In 1975, from the University of London, Guy’s Hospital Medical and Dental School faculty, he qualified as a dental surgeon. He did his practice in England after that.
He also has business interests in the healthcare sector after voluntarily working with Jamati institutions, and Aga Khan hence grew his interest in voluntary services. He has also served as a volunteer president of the United State’s Ismaili Council.
As the Jamati head of the institution and the Aha Khan secretariat, he coordinated Ismaili institutions community programmes in 16 key areas. He is responsible for interfacing with Ismaili community institutions in Central Asia and Aga Khan networks of development programs.
He holds many other positions like being the member of AKDN committee, member of Ismaili leaders, the international forum as well chairman of FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance International Co-donating Committee.

While studying for a diploma, students attended seminars that occur on a monthly basis as they learn on their own. Assignments comprised of 50% of the work. The program was as a result of collaboration between the university and Sussex healthcare. It enabled the staff to realize the working and learning challenges.
The students got presented with certificates in leadership, Social Care, Hospitality, Management, and Activity Therapy according to their range of qualification levels. D.r.
